For your episode day, you must tell the contestants what they need to bring with them in their backpacks.  Look at the date that teams will be in your city.  What is the season?  What types of clothes should they be wearing?  You will have to research average temperatures and rainfall/snowfall during this time of the year.

 

Think about food and water.  Will you have the competitiors bring food and water with them in their backpacks or will you give them money to make a pit-stop at a local restaurant?

 

Do they need to bring anything to help them with the race such as hiking boots, supplies for the challenge, or a map of the town?
